CUSTOM COLOURS AND SIZES
Sometimes standard colours and sizes will just not do. With today’s modern architecture and with designers wanting to push the boundaries, we occasionally called upon to deliver a custom look or special size. Thankfully we have a range of products and solutions to hand but most importantly we need to work within the limitations and specification of each product. We have seen many examples where apparent solutions have been offered but completely out of spec. Some companies will agree to make any unit to any size for a customer with little regard to specifications and how the unit might perform a couple of years down the track.
This is something we flatly refuse to do. The truth is certain products have limitations. For example, generally speaking a UPVC door should not be higher than 240 cm high. And yet we often see wibbly wobbly doors at over 3 meters high that are bowing like bananas because not only are they out of spec but also lack the necessary reinforcement that window company left out to save on cost.
SSS windows will never just agree an out of spec design just to win a deal and we will never leave out or reduce the quality of our components to save on cost.
In terms of colour, Aluminium offers the greatest flexibility as we can powder-coat in a range of colours and finishes at our cutting edge powder-coat facility. For UPVC profiles we can offer some beautiful finishes including a beautiful black laminate, grey laminate and a range of laminate wood-grain finishes.
